Very well done. I really enjoyed this one and it was so nice to see another side of Atom. I know there is room for grim and gritty heroes and some readers would prefer that kind of realism but I like to think that at least in the case of the JSA members and other Golden Age heroes it is okay to depict them in a more purely heroic manner. You've done that in this story. Humanity and heroism in one package!

very nice! Glad you followed up on John, too. Thanks, I thought it would be important to add a bookend to his story as well. The Tusk's own story of marital strife is kind of a cautionary tale for the Atom, one that parallels his story in some ways, had things ended up differently.

The Atom is usually a pretty brash character, especially in JSA stories, so I thought this one should show a different side of him -- one that ended up bringing him and Mary back together after his uncontrolled anger had earlier torn them apart.
