What would it take to get us writing again (except for red! ) Could we maybe do an action packed round robin with pretty short chapters? I think our last round robin fell apart because somebody couldn't follow the rules, but maybe we can try again.
Personally I'd like to see a story that doesn't involve a lot of heroes and I think it would be sort of cool to do some kind of parallel universe thing. I wonder if someone might be trying to break through the barriers and mess up the past, somehow, and there is a history shift in one of the universes, and all of a sudden, everything in that universe is steampunk...
A long time ago, there was a Ben Grimm / Doc Savage teamup where they never met but had kind of parallel adventures separated by time, somehow related to each other, and I thought that was cool, too.
I had another thought. Did the Teen Titans ever have tryouts? I wonder if there are enough Titan rejects around to form a Legion of Substitute of Titans?

For me you would already be of congratulations just for the initiative to bring back forgotten superheroes of the DC Post-Crisis Universe.Type: Scorn / Ceritak from the Kandor Bottled City , the Green Lantern Corps reunited by Kyle Rayner with the characters Garl Rathbone, Anya Savenlovich, Judge Sool , Hammeroon ( So what "he died"? Resuscitate he hour balls ! ) , the super villain cosmic Massacre , Maxima the Empress of the Planet Almerac , Slobo the teenager clone of Lobo , Superboy and the Ravers ( Superboy / Kon-El , H Dial / Hero Cruz , Aura , Kaliber , Sparx , Half-Life and Rex the Dog Wonder ) , Solovar the King of Gorilla-City (I never felt that no one ever thought of bringing Solovar back to life) , The New Guardians ( Gloss , Jet , R.A.M. , Extraño , Harbinger , Thomas Kalmaku , Dreamtime / Betty Clawman ) The Nuclear Man the super villain super powerful Superman clone created by Lex Luthor with the strand of hair containing Superman's DNA, made into a "genetic stew" which was birthed into a living being when Superman threw the nuclear missile containing the device that had the "stew" into the sun and especially the Titans that I've never settled for the totally brutal and bloodthirsty way DC Comics exterminated the vast majority of the group who died brutal deaths in the cruel hands of Superboy Prime and who were not in absolute "dispensable characters" and they did not deserve to have all been endured in a cruel and gratuitous genocide by the editors of the board of DC Comics who chose on the basis of the popularity of the characters who would live and who would be executed to do a "cleaning" in the comics book titles of The Titans as well as for creating their own unique and unpublished members of The Titans. Later I'm going to give a wanted one to see if I find this fanfic. Just bringing back Baby Wildebeest and Pantha would really make me extremely happy. If I may boldly suggest that I would divide the Titans in the following manner. A team of Titans for each of the 8 cardinal points located in a city of the USA located in one of these 8 cardinal points: Titans North: 12 members Titans Northeast: 12 members Titans South: 12 members Titans Southeast: 12 members Titans West: 12 members Titans East: 12 members Titans Northwest: 12 members Titans Southwest: 12 members What would be more than enough to bring back a good number of Titans and also to create a good number of brand new Titans.

That’s a lot of Titans! Maybe too many.
Pantha has appeared a couple of times, but as a villain, not a Titan (at least so far). The Wildebeest Society has also appeared, but that’s it so far.

Let's reduce the number of teams with Titans. Only four teams of Titans for American cities located in the four cardinal points: Titans North: 12 members Titans South: 12 members Titans West: 12 members Titans East: 12 members If Pantha returned as a female super-villain I'm sorry to say but then she's not the Pantha I met or the one I learned to admire as a feral superheroine . She was basically the X-23 of the DC Universe to "Wolverine Woman of DC" and especially the great passion of the life of Redstar that along with him and Baby Wildebeest formed a family of meta-human super weapons she deserved to have come back to life like heroine . Bring her back as villain woman was a scoundrel. The same goes for Baby Wildebeest he was an "Incredible Hulk Feral completely innocent and untouched by corruption". Bring him back or better" bring back to The Wildebeest Society "a bunch of bad-intentioned villains and do not bring him is equally scoundrel. can not do a good thing with dead characters so do not even dare to touch them.

Our fan fiction group is entirely based on the Pre-Crisis DC Universes of Earth-1, Earth-2, et cetera, so Pantha was a complete blank slate in our world. Another writer introduced her as a member of a super-villain team, and I've used her in a similar way, but I actually don't think of her as a villain.
I think of Pantha more like Medusa of the Inhumans, who was first introduced as a member of the villain team the Frightful Four. She seemed to be a villain based on the people she was on a team with, but later she was revealed to have a more complex backstory, and was one of the Inhumans. That's why I reintroduced Pantha as a member of a new version of the Fearsome Five called the Fearsome Four led by Gizmo, as I have plans to show where she came from and why she ended up on two different villain teams. So there's more to the story than what you might assume, and it's more inspired by Medusa than Post-Crisis DCU stuff.
The Wildebeest Society was only introduced in Post-Crisis comics, so I decided to introduce them in a limited way for the first time in our continuity, but so far I haven't planned on using Baby Wildebeest yet. But since the Wildebeests have now been introduced first, it's possible Baby W. could show up eventually.
Anyway, it's not a matter of bringing back characters, but introducing them for the first time in our continuity, since they never existed on Earth-1 before -- only in Post-Crisis DC Comics, which DO NOT take place in our continuity at all. We have introduced other Post-Crisis elements occasionally, but we treat them as completely new characters, since none of the published Post-Crisis stories are in our continuity. Make sense?

We have introduced other Post-Crisis elements occasionally, but we treat them as completely new characters, since none of the published Post-Crisis stories are in our continuity. Make sense? I see things in a different way ... From what I am told, both Pantha and Baby Wildebeest have always been heroes since they emerged when the Wildebeest Society led by the evil version of Jericho possessed by the corrupt souls of Azarath began to hunt down the members of the Titans. The two were innocent victims of the attempts of evil Jericho and members of the Wildebeest Society neither of them asked to become nor to be what they became they were not characters in the style of Medusa of the Inhumans of Marvel Comics who began as an "enemy" and "antagonist" of the superheroes of the Marvel Universe and became a member of The Frightful Four for only after she turns out to be a super-heroine both Pantha and Baby Wildebeest began as heroes reluctant allies and protected from the Titans . The way the two died in Infinite Crisis was tremendously brutal and DC Comics not satisfied with simply "killing both" also took away all their remaining dignity and did not even let them rest in peace because it tried to bring the two back as Two Zombies Black Lanterns in the miniseries "The Blackest Night" in which together with Terra, The Phantasm, and the deceased husband and son of Troia brought back as undeads to serve as weapons against the Titans they were completely destroyed by Dawn Granger either manipulated the white light of the life of the "Entity" type as if DC Comics said : "Yes, we even annihilated this bunch of boring characters! Anyone against? " . Bring Pantha back as a female villain member of a new version of The Fearsome Five (now "The Fearsome Four") was cruel to the character because she died in such a stupid and bloodthirsty way to defend the world and humanity of a villain all powerful and give hope to the world and now she returns to "remove " any and all hope that she has consecrated with her bloody sacrifice? This is so unfair to me. But OK . I understand that the writers have other points of view and I'm not here to discuss how the fanfic author should or should not bring back Pantha and the Baby Wildebeest.

Actually, NONE of the events you mention occur in our continuity. We're based on Pre-Crisis comics only.

Straying a little bit from the topic - although writing a story to explain seemingly inconsistent character behavior is a good way to find a story idea. We could generate a list of seeming inconsistencies in 5 Earths continuity and writers could choose one and figure out how to incorporate it. (If we do this, I suggest we have a rule that says 'you can't turn it into a dream or imaginary story').
Are there other contests we could hold? Challenges or Author Team Ups? (I am not really good at either of those, I tend to run out of steam before the stories get finished).
Someone just getting started here might look at the incomplete stories folder and choose to finish one of those. (of course, anyone could do that, but that folder has a lot of stories in it and not much action, so presumably authors who have been here for a while have looked it over and decided not to follow up...)
Something I've tried is picking a public domain Golden Age story and just writing it in words, updating as required to include 5 Earths characters and conform to our continuity rules. This is neither as easy or as despicable as it sounds. Golden Age stories are usually poorly written with inconsistent characterization and character behavior, and often riddled with plot holes as big as a space shuttle. So by the time you get done updating the final story is unrecognizable vs. the source.
Maybe some of us have stories we'd really like to see - even stories that are laid out and plotted - and others are bursting with writing energy and the words are bubbling, but no story ideas, and we could arrange some kind of match up,

I really would like to know more about the DC Pre-Crisis Universe I do not know much about the heroes and villains that existed before Crisis on the Infinite Earths. I just really started to get interested in the comics of the DC Universe after John Byrne's reworking of Superman and I must say that I ended up ignoring completely an extremely rich universe of possibilities and fantasy replete with wonderful characters that I never got to see. I think that if by chance the authors of fanfics of the forum DC 5 Earths decide even to create new fanfictions that should take characters that are currently in public domain and rework them in such a way that they become fascinating and emblematic both as heroes and as villains and to create fascinating groups that generate endless possibilities for the writers of fanfics. Maybe stories about : The Wanderers , The Forever People , The New Gods and The Fourth World of Jack Kirby , O.M.A.C. (One-Man Army Corps) ,Anthro : The First-Boy on Earth, Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth , Tommy Tomorrow , Sergeant Rock and The Easy Company (could perhaps be a current version of this character with a descendant of Sergeant Rock and heirs of Soldiers who composed The Easy Company fighting in the Middle East War ) , The Losers (same case of Sergeant Rock and his group here would narrate the adventures of a group of soldiers considered "highly dispensable failures" by the American army during the War of the Middle East but that would become a group of heroes in the fullest sense of this word forming a kind of modern-day version of "The A-Team" ) , The Sea Devils (a group of researchers of the marine life of the present times that test new technologies to allow the man to clear the seas and oceans and that they would fight for the conscious and constructive exploration of the resources coming from the sea and for the preservation of marine life ),The Warlord, Atari Force , The Shadowpact , Sentinels of Magic , Etrigan the Demon , The Haunted Tank (it could be perhaps a war tank during the Middle East war haunted by the ghost of a Confederate General who assists its occupants how to act with advice in difficult times and in retribution the chief commander of the tank of war placed in the tank the flag of the confederates), Hercules Unbound , The Phantom Stranger , Arion Lord of Atlantis , Jemm, Son of Saturn , The Spectre , Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld ,The Seven Soldiers of Victory , Birds of Prey , The Challengers of the Unknown , The Secret Six , The Forgotten Heroes , Rip Hunter and The Time Masters , Adam Strange among innumerable ones I could suggest that could result in wonderful fanfictions to be told. But this does not depend of me. Anyway I wish that the authors of fanfictions of the forum DC 5 Earths have much inspiration in the themes of their histories.

I had another thought. Did the Teen Titans ever have tryouts? I wonder if there are enough Titan rejects around to form a Legion of Substitute of Titans?
The Teen Titans never had tryouts, as far as we know, but I believe you and Starsky began a Junior JSA story with a similar premise. I'd really like to see that one continued!

The Teen Titans never had tryouts, as far as we know, but I believe you and Starsky began a Junior JSA story with a similar premise. I'd really like to see that one continued! As far as I know, the Titans apparently do not have tryouts. I was thinking that besides a "Legion of Titans Substitutes" that in fact would be very cool and fun to see someone write as fanfiction the same way I was here thinking about the possibility of someone creating a version of the Titans that accept, as team members young super-heroes international adolescents called "Titans International" more or less in the same style as Justice League International with two divisions "Titans America" and "Titans Europe" with juvenile heroes from all countries of the world defending Earth from too big threats to a single team of Titans concentrated in a single country of the globe could defend and with the same tone lighter, fun and relaxed of sitcom series of comedy and humor of Justice League International of Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis . In the same way we could advance in time to a possible cosmic future of Earth-1 let's say the 35th century and imagine a "Legion of Titans" formed by young future heirs to the legacy of the Titans who as well as the Legion of Super Heroes were inspired by the figure of Superman Earth's greatest hero so the Legion of Titans were inspired by the iconic figures of the Titans the Earth's greatest group of juvenile superheroes to found a "cosmic version" of the Titans called "Legion of Titans" formed by superheroes cosmic teenagers heirs of the legacy of The Titans coming from different worlds of the Universe in the Future with interplanetary versions of : Nightwing, Cyborg, Raven, Starfire,Troia , Tempest, Beast Boy, Jericho, Kid Flash, Speedy II (heiress of Mia Dearden's legacy inspired on her to be archer of the future) etc. What do you think of this idea?

Yeah, that's the very story I was referring to when I said I am not good at either Author Team Ups or Challenges... Starsky Challenged me to write a Team Up with him and I ran out of steam... sigh

I also think it might be cool to work on a fanfiction with the Alternative Earth from the Universe of the Team Titans . OK . Go ahead . They can laugh insanely like the Joker but you know how incredible it feels to me that I even liked of The Team Titans . It's all right . Alphanumeric. The stories were horrible and the ridiculous concept that the son of Troia was destined to kill her and become an omnipotent tyrant of the future the insane Lord Chaos and the only resistance left from the Team Titans created by the equally evil villain The Monarch who fought who gathered them not for "goodness" but to ensure that that Earth of the future ceased to exist and was replaced by Earth's of your future ... But you know that until I thought it was cool the concept of the Titans a team who was fighting using meta-human super powers to contain the forces of Lord Chaos waging a war for the liberation of their future Earth . That's right . I agree it was a series of stories "grim 'n' gritty" with poor characters and extremely uncharismatic but I even thought it was cool for the Team Titans perhaps simply because I believe in Alan Moore's maxim that: "There are no bad characters. There are these yes bad writers! " and for that very reason I think that even Team Titans could yield wonderful stories if they happen to be written in a competent and carefully way and I'd really like it if Earth's Alternative of the Team Titans' Future had not been erased of the continuum time space and continue to exist as one of the Future Alternative Earths of the Multiverse DC. I would love it if someone else did a fanfics version of the Team Titans and see again the group Team Titans formed by : Battalion, Nightrider (Nosferatu), Mirage, Redwing, Kilowatt, Prestor John and Terra II as a super team receiving the treatment and due respect of some fanfics writer in some probable future fanfiction in which they cease to be supporting characters and become central heroes in every sense of the word worthy of the legacy of the Titans name but this unfortunately does not depend on me .

I agree that most 'bad' characters are the result of bad writing. I think many of us here hope that we can take bad characters and make them better by writing good stories.
