I was thinking these days and it came to mind an intriguing idea that I think could serve as the theme for an interesting series of fanfictions with two different counterpoints of degradation of morality. It's an even simple idea: why not make a series of fanfics in which the Crime Syndicate of America faces the team of Earth-50 "heroes" called Justice Lords ?







For those who do not know this Earth of the New Multiverse DC a quick summary. A tragic event forever changed the course of Earth-50 history: President Lex Luthor murdered Flash personally and publicly. Superman, tormented by what Luthor had done, undertook a violent retaliation, using his heat vision to kill his long-time enemy.







This incident led the bereaved and enrage man of steel to conclude that the only way to protect the world from super-villains like Luthor is to eliminate them, using violent means if necessary. He reformed the Justice League as the Justice Lords, determined to preserve peace on Earth by instituting permanent martial law, justifying their brutal actions as a temporary necessity to save the planet.







Over time, Earth-50 has descended to the level of a fascist police state, commanded by tyrants and super-powerful Justice Lords. The Watch Tower has become a seat for surveillance around the world, helping the Justice Lords suppress freedom of expression and democratic elections.







Even the Batman of this universe, usually the most integral and absolutely incorruptible member of the Justice League in most universes, eventually ended up quieting and agreeing to the tyranny and oppression practiced by his comrades because according to himself he used to define on what right they used his Power to enslave the world: "With that same power we created a world where a 4-year-old young boy would not have to see his parents die before him with the shots of a maniac with a gun!" and allowed Superman to lobotomize the criminals of Arkham Asylum and turn them from insane maniacs into gentle sheep pacified by unworthy means and turns Gotham City from a shadowy city into a clean and immaculate metropolis where there are not even graffiti because it forces people to follow the "little laws" to the letter under penalty of one who disagrees to undergo cerebral lobotomization.







And at this point I ask: What is the difference that separates the Crime Syndicate of America from the Justice Lords? NONE ! While the Crime Syndicate of America is "evil and devilishly distorted versions of Earth Prime's Heroes" , the Justice Lords are neither much better nor very different being" heroes who have crossed the thin line separating the good of the evil " . The Justice Lords as well as the Crime Syndicate of America fight against opponents unrestrained of morality or "heroic" ethics not exiting in using lethal power against opponents if necessary. The Justice Lords Superman would not hesitate to break Ultraman in the middle with his heat vision coldly if they both fought as the Justice Lords Wonder Woman would slaughter Superwoman with a sword blow without any remorse, the Justice Lords' Green Lantern would tear out the hand with the ring of Power Ring and Batman of the Justice Lords would not demonstrate any kind of "pity" against Owlman as he demonstrated with the Batman of Justice League only a tear of kindness he had to feel sorry for that "pure and innocent Batman" just as he himself was once but against Owlman he would not demonstrate that same "Mercy" and would fight with him using lethal force if necessary.







And so, respectively, with each equivalent of Earth Prime heroes from these two Earths from the Multiverse DC ( Superboy , Supergirl , Steel , Cyborg , Aquaman , Captain Marvel , Mary Marvel , Captain Marvel Jr. , Captain Atom , Firestorm , The Atom , Doctor Light / Kimiyo Hoshi , Hawkman , Hawkwoman , Martian Manhunter , Miss Martian , Doctor Fate , Zatanna , Atom Smasher , Blue Devil , Etrigan the Demon , B'Wana Beast , Animal Man , Vixen , Vigilante , Crimson Avenger , Shining Knight , S.T.R.I.P.E. , Star-Girl , Starman / Prince Gavyn , Órion , Mister Miracle , Big Barda , Blue Beetle / Ted Kord , Blue Beetle / Jaime Reyes , Booster Gold , The Elongated Man , Plastic Man ,Aztek / Doctor Curtis Falconer , Green Arrow , Black Canary , Huntress , The Question , Wildcat / Ted Grant , Hawk , Dove , Hourman / Rick Tyler , Gypsy , Vibe , Jakeem Thunder and Thunderbolt , Citizen Steel , Metamorpho , Creeper , Mister Terrific , Red Tornado , Fire , Ice , Green Lanterns [ Hal Jordan , Kyle Rayner , Simon Baz , Jessica Cruz , Kilowog ] , Static Shock , Icon , Zauriel , Congorilla , Solovar , Tasmanian Devil , The Titans , The Outsiders , The Young Justice etc ) . And that's where I want to get the Crime Syndicate of America was able to overcome the Justice League because in their Earth the Multiverse laws are reversed and "evil" always wins "the good" ... but what happens when they face " Heroes "whose" good "is no different from" evil "? What would happen if a group of "heroes" who act in exactly the same way that "villains" confronted their villainous counterparts In a universe where evil is rewarded and good punished ?
