I haven't been happy with the kinds of results I've tried using various online ai art generators. I've got a character in mind that looks a certain way, but I cannot generate the right prompts to make it look right. I think I'll have to find a similar character and modify it with Photoshop using a more Old School method. Doc I am not an expert at all, but if you sent me a prompt I could try it too?
I often get really frustrated trying to get the look I want, and the one free and easy to use 'redo' tool that I know about is broken these days, but I use NightCafe sometimes and it allows me to make 16 images from a single prompt (uses up points, but you _can_ get points for free if you are patient). So sometimes I make 16 images, pick the best one, change the prompt and make 16 more.
Certainly photoshop and the old fashioned way is more certain, at least at this time...
I really look forward to the time when I can tell an AI to read my stories and then create a comic book for each story, but I can also see that this will impact a LOT of people. Future of creativity is definitely interesting...

not much effort went into this one - just asked for a 1940s comic book cover. This doesn't really suit the prompt - but I think the characters are interesting...

I'd like to get some opinions on AI art please. On the left - Dan Dare and Carol Clews. On the right - Carol as Sunbeam... Attachments:

The last few comic book appearances of Thunderbunny were uncolored, unfortunately. In one of them, his foes were the A-Team (called the Max Pack) and a father/daughter team, the father was a mad scientist who gave his daughter super powers. Her name was Moon Miss. The ink drawing of her is quite fetching; wish I could have seen it after a good colorist was through with it. But, I ran it through an AI. The costume is not identical to what Moon Miss was wearing, so this probably isn't Moon Miss - but I like it! Attachments:

I found an early AI that is supposed to generate comic book pages based on a story synopsis. It's not really very useful yet, but it did generate some nice looking pages - though it would be hard to put a story to these pages... but I imagine the day will come when we will be able to tell an AI: go to this URL, read the story, and make it into a comic book... and then perhaps with some tweaking, out will come a comic book that shows our original characters and tells our stories. I think I will enjoy seeing all my stories in comic book form, but I suspect this capability will make a lot of people unhappy and probably put a lot of people out of work... Anyway, here's the panels it created when I entered these prompts, obviously not useful for a story... yet... Story: Origin story for a female superheroine named Batterstar. Character: Batterstar wears on light brown unitard with dark brown stripes down the tops of the arms and the outside of the leggings, she wears a black domino mask, and carries a staff

Interesting. Where did you find this? The artwork looks amazing, though my main problem (other than the ethical side of it) is that it's difficult to get consistency of characters from image to image.

I get an error message when I open this. What's your user name there? I'd like to follow you. (you get free credits from your first follower, if that's me...). I'm danoman53

Interesting. Where did you find this? The artwork looks amazing, though my main problem (other than the ethical side of it) is that it's difficult to get consistency of characters from image to image. on Hugging Face, this space: huggingface.co/spaces/jbilcke-hf/ai-comic-factoryI just found it today, so maybe I am using it wrong. I started by only putting in one short prompt; I wonder if a more complex prompt, or 1 prompt per panel, would produce more consistent results? The ethical considerations are definitely real, and I find the whole concept of evolving AI to be somewhat intimidating.

Craig Young. I've published my impressions of Midnight Angel (redhaired female RAF pilot) and Ace of Blades (blonde Luftwaffe pilot). Also two old school gay vampires in a tender clinch.

Now I just need to learn how to follow someone. I asked on the FB page... Edit - got it! Look for the magnifying glass!

I don't know who this is; I generated it while trying to create a 'blue female human torch flying above a city and surrounded by blue flames'. But I really like her! Maybe she's a Supergirl variant on one of redsycorax's alternate Earths...

I've been trying to use an AI art site to generate a good image for Starsky's Lex Luthor/Captain Victory story and it stubbornly refuses to follow directions. But here are a couple fun images...
