Yes, apparently, in the late sixties, there were plans for a Toho and Greenway Studios co-production in which the Caped Crusader (c1966), Batgirl and Robin travelled to Japan to fight a mad scientist, one Klaus Finster, and a certain hallowed Japanese movie monster. There are scenes of aerial combat, the usual ropeplay and eventually, the Dynamic Trio get the best of the awkwardly configured anachronistic saurian monster in question. Batman v Godzilla would have been intriguing to see, to say the least... wikizilla.org/wiki/Batman_Meets_Godzilla#:~:text=Batman%20Meets%20Godzilla%20is%20an,%E5%AF%BE%E3%82%B4%E3%82%B8%E3%83%A9%20Battoman%20tai%20Gojira). grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/the-batman-godzilla-movie-that-could-have-been/There was even an unofficial fanmade comic adaptation of the property in question: 13thdimension.com/batman-66-meets-godzilla-now-you-can-finally-check-out-the-lost-project/batmanmeetsgodzilla.com/index.html/

wonder what TV Batman would have done to subdue Godzilla? Batarangs with Bat-lines probably wouldn't be sufficient. Unless, of course the Bat-lines were totally unbreakable! I wonder what people would have popped out of the windows when Batman, Robin and Batgirl were climbing the side of a skyscraper with their Bat-lines? Or what the spinning words would have said when Robin hit Godzilla in the ankle with his hardest punch?

The Dynamic Duo is in Commisioner Gordon's office, listening to radio reports of Godzilla, making its way towards Gotham. "Holy post-atomic horror, Batman!" "Yes, Robin. Just imagine." "Imagine what?" "If all that energy exists within one single atom, think of the power of the millions within the human body. The ability of a single person to change the world for the better is nearly infinite." "Beautiful, Batman, and so inspiring, wouldn't you say Chief O'Hara?" "Aye, commissioner but shouldn't we be doing something to stop that beast?" "Of course. Commissioner, Chief O'Hara, we'll take your leave. Now, Robin, to the Batmobile."

Okay, so according to the Wikizilla page, it was intended that [Batman, Robin and Batgirl] "eventually devise a plan; lure Godzilla with a mating call and knock the giant out with explosives. After this, he surveys the Japanese people, who unanimously vote to send the creature into space. With their plan in place, and after a chase and fight with Klaus Finster that ends with the mad scientist falling to his death, Batman, Batgirl and Robin all engage Godzilla with their vehicles, with the giant beast grabbing Batgirl during the fight. Batman, unflinchingly, uses the call anyways, causing Godzilla to throw Barbara Gordon away, with the young woman landing all the way at the Daibutsu Buddha. Batman scales Godzilla and plants the bomb on his neck, tying it to the beast with Batrope before he moves to safety and detonates it, knocking the beast out. Japanese scientists build a rocket around Godzilla while he is unconscious, before ultimately launching the rocket into orbit above the Earth's surface, with Godzilla forever contained within.": wikizilla.org/wiki/Batman_Meets_Godzilla#:~:text=Batman%20Meets%20Godzilla%20is%20an

Hmmmm. I think I might invert the idea. Gotham City is menaced by a raving giant out of control Frank Miller style Batman, so they turn to Tokyo's greatest hero.. Godzilla!!! Okay, done. Here's a look at what happened when Godzilla, the Reptile of Righteousness and his son Minilla battled a fearsome Giant Frank Miller OTT Batman!: 5earths.proboards.com/thread/1426/godzilla-batman-reprise-toho-production
