Perhaps the original Diana was an orphan and probably rotated through several foster homes, and she had a really unhappy childhood so she was willing to give up her life for the happy life she expected after she got married. So she had no close friends and no relatives. And she did move to South America. But... she was a nurse in the Army. She must have gone through basic training and received some nursing training.
But someone would have to suspect that Diana Prince was Wonder Woman first, and then look up Diana's records second, and then third track down someone she'd known before she was transferred to DC and then bring that person into contact with Wonder Woman's Diana identity long enough to confirm that she was now a different person. Wonder Woman probably wouldn't voluntarily go back to any of the locations from her adopted past (she probably studied the original Diana's records very closely, and perhaps even used the Magic Sphere to learn more about her.

The original Diana Prince was a military nurse. So the only acquaintances who might know her were her fellow nurses and those she went to nursing school with. I believe she was quite a wallflower and very shy, so she didn't make friends. Probably her only friend was her fiance, Bill White. She had no one to confide to when she pined for him after he was sent to South America (he was a mining engineer), and she had no means to go with him (until WW gave her the reward money for capturing bank robbers).
Wonder Woman #162 shows that Wonder Woman and Diana Prince were photographed together just after WW's first public exploit, with the newspaper captioning the shot as "Diana Prince, Wonder Woman's friend..." This would help preserve Wonder Woman's adopted identity for years to come.
When Wonder Woman took over Diana Prince's identity, she carried on the real Diana Prince's shy persona as we all know, but was assertive enough to make new friends and even get promoted later on to Captain and then Major.
Diana Prince later appears in Wonder Woman #167. In that story, Wonder Woman saves Bill White (who believes she was actually his fiancee Diana) from Incan warriors on Tabu Mountain. Bill strikes it rich and presumably marries Diana Prince after that story.
On Earth-1A, Diana White becomes the mother of Marvin White of Super Friends fame. It's possible that her Earth-1 counterpart also had a son named Marvin who would be a young boy by now, possibly even a younger teen depending on when he was born.

I wonder if Mrs. Diana White's legal identity might be in jeopardy somehow, since she has a very different documented history than that of Wonder Woman's "identity theft" of Diana Prince. Could she ever return to the United States without having such legal issues? It's something to ponder.
Of course, that does not take into account the various "mind-wipes" that were used in Wonder Woman's career in order to "restart" her life with no previous baggage. Aphrodite's use of the "Mists of Nepenthe" was the most widespread use, since it caused everyone on Earth to forget that Steve Trevor had actually died several years earlier, or that Diana Prince had ever quit the military (also, her time as plainclothes Diana Prince in her "Mod" era when she was palling around with I-Ching had been forgotten as well, or her secret identity would be in peril when she later used it again).
I have wondered what might happen if the Mists of Nepenthe were reversed somehow, causing previously hidden memories to be recalled. What if other similar mind-wipes were reversed at the same time? What might happen? I know some villains had their memories of secret identities removed at various times. What other mind-wipes have happened in Earth-1's history?

at one time Green Lantern used his power ring to erase memories of secret identities from EVERYONE on Earth 1. I don't recall which incident you're referring to. Was that in his own series, or in Justice League of America? Do you remember which issue number?

I don't remember the issue where Green Lantern did it, but I remember when Superman used Amnesium to erase the memories of the JLA's secret identities from everyone on Earth. It was after they defeated Dr. Destiny's Dream Justice League
