I have often wondered how the cover scene of Computo killing Triplicate Girl as its the firs murder on cover since it was established. Granted she shows up in the next issue with the ability to split into two bodies and seemingly no mental trauma until manay years later when writers addressed the issue. The cover though, is still quite shocking; especially for the 1960's

I think it also helped that there was no blood or gore. Disintegration is a very "clean" way to die.

One also wondered how Superboy and then Bouncing Boy reacted to losing Luornu's third self. In Superboy's case, she had a massive crush on him and it might have been reciprocated. Then she moved on and fell for Chuck. How would they have reacted?

Just as well Luornu was monogamous, for that matter. Although technically, it might have been polygynous polygamy when Duo Damsel and Bouncing Boy tied the knot. I imagine Cargg has ways around that- each member of a Cargg triadic personages would marry their corresponding triadic spouse's personages. So all Carggian marriage ceremonies would therefore be triple weddings, so to speak. But what would happen when a Carggian marries an alien who doesn't share their abilities? Do other United Planet members have taboos or legislative barriers to interspecies marriages with Carggians? Obviously not Earth or Mars, given Chuck and Luornu had no problem getting hitched, but what about others? And what about Cargg itself? Although Luornu also reported she had difficulty with her homeworld, given that if one person within a Carggian triad dies, the other two usually die as well due to traumatic shock- which didn't happen with Duo Damsel. It was neverly adequately explained why Luornu was an exception to that rule within Legion lore.

Leornu's crush on Superboy and relationship with Bouncing Boy was established a year or so later. The trauma she experienced with the death of her third self wasn't touched on until the 1980's
Later in the various series (Some of it post crisis) it was established that unlike other Carggites, each one of Triplicate Girl'd bodies had explicitly deferent personas. While the standard Naive of Cargg was he same person.
