I'm doing research for a story, and I began searching through a list of New York City skyscrapers (particularly those associated with radio and television) circa the 1930s/40s that might have served as the basis for the Amalgamated Broadcasting Company Building also known as the WHIZ Radio Building and WHIZ-TV Building. After doing so, I'm fairly sure that the RCA Building, now known as 30 Rockefeller Plaza, was the basis for the WHIZ-TV building. Let me know what you think. If you can find any better candidates, let me know.

Here's another photo. Note that the spire at the bottom left matches the placement of the spire in the skyline of the WHIZ-TV building image above.

That's a good probability. Whereever WHIZ was; we know by the call letters that is east of the Mississippi River.

It looks very plausible
As far as locations go, we know from Whiz Comics #14 that it's about 200 miles from Washington DC

Excellent detective work, Doc. Did you notice the resemblance yourself or did your search software turn it up?

Excellent detective work, Doc. Did you notice the resemblance yourself or did your search software turn it up? Yes, I just looked through a list with images of all of the tallest NYC skyscrapers that existed in the 1930s when Captain Marvel was first created.
