Back in the day when Martin and others wrote specific titles, was there a posting schedule followed? For example, was it a new "episode" each week or month? I'm aiming for a schedule of some sort to post the western and weird western stories I am working on.

The only schedule I recommend is 'write the whole story before you post it, post one chapter at a time, and give it one last proof as you are posting the chapter'.
Personally, I like it when authors post 1 or 2 chapters at a time, maybe up to 2500 words at a time, and give us several days to read those and post comments. Curious to see what others say. But I don't want to cramp your style - so other than the suggestion at the top of this post, I'd say - 'whatever suits you'.

I don't have a posting style to cramp, per se, just trying to figure out a way so it isn't feast or famine.

I do like your idea, Dan, about keeping it around 2500 words. I might shoot for a story a month, breaking any that are substantially more than 2500 into multiple posts. If I have non-westerns to post, it won't feel like I am flooding the site.

not like the site is being overwhelmed by submissions right now, though. I look forward to reading your stuff!

I never know how much to post at a time. Sometimes it's one chapter after another, but I like Dan's idea of spacing it out to give time for reading & feedback.
