sounds like there could be a story to fix a continuity glitch here! Jonah and other western characters were taken from 1875 by the Lord of Time and faced off against the Justice League in the future. That is also the year Jonah is kidnapped and taken farther into the future for his adventures as Hex. Given that the Willows and Hexes story also is set in 1875, I think I can set up the Hex storyline. I also think a Bat Lash story needs to be written where Bat tries to figure out what happened to Jonah.

I'm so excited to see this timeline when you are done. I'll add any new information from you into my timeline I just hope I haven't gone overboard. It now stretches from 1700 into the 1900s. I think I have HOCD (historical obsessive compulsive disorder).

I think I have HOCD (historical obsessive compulsive disorder). I too suffer from this malady, as you may have guessed
When I made my timeline, I specifically did not allow myself to include any information after 1929, since I wanted to try and control the flood of data in the comic book era

Just a quick update. I have managed to find downloads of most of DC's western comics, so I am slowly working my way through those to find any mention of a story date. Some of the stories list an exact date, while others give only the month in which the story takes place. The task is bigger than I had imagined, but I am having a blast. I just didn't want anyone thinking I had give up on the site.

I too have a variant of the dreaded Historical Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but in my case, it extends over whole historical periods. My husband is startled at the amount of material related to sixteenth and seventeenth century Europe, World War Two, Canadian postwar social history and the Cuban missile crisis that afflicts our overburdened, groaning bookshelves!

What, or how much, actual history would the group like to see in the Earth-1 timeline? Considering my love of research, I get the feeling I may be going overboard.

Only as much historic information as is necessary to understand the context of the comic book information (beginning and end of wars, elections, that sort of major thing)

Only as much historic information as is necessary to understand the context of the comic book information (beginning and end of wars, elections, that sort of major thing) I agree with that, but I'd also add important events in major historical figures in Old West history, such as life details of Wild Bill Hickok, for example.

No pun intended, but this will help me rein in this beast. Thanks.

Quick update. I am currently going through the Weird Western Comics and compiling the dates listed for Scalphunter. In addition to that, I have a Weird Western story in the works that stars Minstrel Maverick of Earth-1 which I hope to be posting before too long.
